These small towns remind our families of the lands they left in Europe. Amid hardships and happy times, here are some of the stories we strive to preserve for future generations.

About the Author
Marcia “Marcy ” Minerich was born in the small town of Ronald, Washington in 1940, when doctors still delivered babies at home. After Marcy graduated from Cle Elum High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Ed Bogachus. Moving only 10 miles away, she was still close enough to keep in touch with her old friends and family. On June 21, 2015, they celebrated their 57th anniversary before Marcy passed away that July.
