What We Do

Focusing on All Facets of the Story of Kittitas County as Told by Book Writers

With a sharp focus on books of local interest, every book in our collection has a tie to Kittitas County.
Examples of some of the kinds of connections you will find in our books:
  • Kittitas County History & Heritage
  • Local Authors
  • Historic Photos
  • Accounts of Historic Events & Disasters
  • Biographies of Local Heroes & Personalities
  • Area Travel & Recreation
  • Novels Set in the County
  • Anecdotes & Chronicled Oral Histories

Telling the stories of Kittitas County, in particular the portion coming down the eastern slopes of the Cascades into the foothills along I-90, the region known locally as “the Upper County”, is what the Tribune does best. Expanding on that purpose, we offer books focused on Kittitas County. Topics ranging from its rich history in coal mining, railroad, logging and agriculture, to biographies of the people who have lived here, to maps and other travel aids are of interest to us, and we share books on these topics with like minded folks.

We are adding to our collection of local interest books in our physical store, and this online store.
